Budget Friendly Vintage Shopping in NYC

Two of my favorite things include New York City and cool 80s fashion. If that doesn't call for a vintage shopping related post about my trip to New York City, I don't know what does! Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market offers a variety of antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing, home decorations, furniture, ephemera etc. Whilst it is a very small flea market with few people it has great stuff at great prices. Something tells me that the weather had something to do with the lack of people BECAUSE IT WAS FREEZING when I was there. They also have a flea market in Chelsea with a $1 admission as opposed to the Hell's Kitchen one.

Anyone who knows New York City knows that Williamsburg has a sea of vintage stores. Urban Jungle is the first vintage shop I went to and it also happens to be my favorite of the ones in Williamsburg. Urban Jungle is Bushwick Brooklyn's largest retail location and it's a part of the chain store L-Train. This is where you should go if you wanna make the most out of your money. They sell both thrifty and vintage items at great prices. I bought myself a vintage varsity jacket in there which I love so so much. Chances that you'll find a treasure in there aren't that great, but they have cool clothing nevertheless.

Beacon's Closet is where you go, if you do want find a treasure for less. It's cheap and there's so much great stuff in there just waiting to be found. Some of the brands they have in store include Miu Miu, Acne Studios, Chanel, Stella McCartney, Sonia Rykiel and so on. There are three Beacon's Closet stores in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan. I chose to go to the one in Manhattan purely because I was in the area and ironically, I didn't feel like going back to Brooklyn. If you love fashion, I'd say this is a must-see when in New York.

  1. wow these look so cool. I love places like this, so many good clothes to find!

  2. Me too. I could literally spend hours upon hours there (which I actually did). :)

  3. This sounds amazing! I wish there was something like that here in Glasgow, I would definetly be rummaging through!
