Where I Find Interior Inspiration

In a couple of days I'll be moving into a dorm room. While I'm terrified of moving away from my mom's house, I'm exited about getting to decorate and furnish a new space. Because of this, I've been frantically looking at my four favorite sources for interior inspiration, and I thought I would share them with you in a blog post today.

#1. CHRISTIANE SPANGSBERG

Christiane is such a talented, young artist who uses her Instagram account to showcase her art work. Her drawings are beautiful and simple. They remind me of  a mix between Picasso and Matisse. All her pieces tell a story like the commissioned collection that Christiane did for Paddington Inn in Australia which is about how strangers meet. Besides sharing her gorgeous art work, Christiane also shares costumer pictures (which are always of beautifully styled homes) as well as images of her own cute, little Østerbro-located apartment in Copenhagen.

#2. CHRISTIE TYLER

Christie will forever and always be my muse and go-to woman for photo inspiration. Besides being an amazing fashion blogger, Christie really has an eye for interior design. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that her room is one of the most dreamy rooms, I've seen on the Internet. Her entire room is following a warm neutral palette with gold undertones. I'm most definitely going to get myself the Hans Wegner Y-Chair (which is also a great investment piece) as well as a midcentury nightstand like hers. As a Dane, I grew up seeing that specific chair everywhere and midcentury styled furniture in teak tree. It reminds me a lot of my grandma and grandpa's house. My heart is also set on Christie's rose gold clothing rack, her marble tray, and ivory faux cowskin hide.

#3. MEGAN ELLABY

Megan Ellaby is another one of my favorite fashion bloggers. Although, Megan doesn't really like minimalistic, Scandinavian interior design or plain white walls, I still manage to find her home on of the most beautiful ones on the market (I also spotted some Danish midcentury teak furniture in her house, hehehe). Megan's home is very influenced by her love for music as well as the '60s and '70s. The house really oozes of personality and I appreciate bravery in styling which Megan totally has!

#4. LIZZY HADFIELD

I haven't been following Lizzy for as long as I have been following Christie and Megan. However, in the short amount of time that I have been following Lizzy, I have fallen head over heels in love with her apartment. Her dining room/seating area with that insane apotheker's dressoir is probably my favorite part of her home. She had me desperately googling after one similar to hers (failed :'(... ) when I first saw it. Furthermore, I'm also totally loving the vintage Moroccan Beni Ouarain rug on the gorgeous herringbone floor. I'm imagining decorating my future adult apartment like Lizzy's.

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different style of blog post. Let me know if you'd like to see more interior related blogposts or if you'd like for me to continue sharing my different sources of inspiration!
