One of my favorite things to do during these rainy, dark autumnal days, we are encountering right now, is hiding under my covers and binge watching my favorite TV shows. I, myself, always struggle to find new shows to watch and end up watching the same shows over and over again. I  sometimes wonder if other people feel the same way or if it's just me being very picky. Either way, I wanted to share my favorite and most binge-worthy TV shows (in my opinion) with you today.

Stranger Things

I want to mention the '80s-Sci-Fi-horror-inspired hit series, 'Stranger Things', first. I bet I don’t have to tell you about it, as the entire world is obsessed with the show right now, but because the second season is available on Netflix now, it's the perfect time to rewind to the first episode and binge the entire show. In my opinion, the second season is a lot more intense and it will surprise you with  its character developments, its new enemies in the Upside Down and the crazy love triangles.

RuPaul's Drag Race

Unless you are new to my blog, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I'm recommending literally everyone I meet to watch 'RuPaul's Drag Race'. RuPaul's Drag Race is a reality competition TV show about drag queens from around the United States. The queens are competing against each other in different challenges and they're all in it to win the title as America's Next Drag Superstar. As the name of the show suggests, RuPaul's Drag Race is hosted by the iconic RuPaul Charles. It's funny, emotional and very, very real. It shines a light on some real life issues within the LGBTQ+ community and works as a navigation system for young people who are trying to find themselves (myself included). It's just SO good and I think everyone, no matter age, sexuality and gender, could benefit from watching it.

Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks is a golden oldie. A girl named Laura Palmer is found dead in a little town called Twin Peaks so they call in an investigator, Special Agent Dale Cooper, to solve the murder. However, the murder of Laura Palmer turns out to be a little more complicated than first assumed. The show ended without a conclusion in the early nineties (due to bad viewership), but now, 25 years later, the third season is finally out. It's a weird and trippy show, but so good nevertheless. It's kind of a cult show and it's is aesthetically pleasing so if you watch it, I'll guarantee that you'll have something to talk to Tumblr-people about.

American Horror Story

I always have trouble explaining what 'American Horror Story' is about to others, but, generally speaking, it's a horror show with a different plot and scenery for every season. My advice would be to watch the first 4 seasons and then skip ahead till season 7. For me, the 5th and 6th season weren't really that great. So, in this case, I think it's okay to cheat and not watch the show chronologically. My two favourite seasons were the first season, which was about a family who moves into a haunted house, and the second season which is about a catholic insane asylum in the '60s. If you're into creepy stuff and horror movies, I think you should give American Horror Story a go.

Buzzfeed Unsolved

Continuing in the same vein, I want to mention the YouTube show 'Buzzfeed Unsolved' with Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej from Buzzfeed. It's a reportage show about spooky and creepy real-life events and myths that covers both murders, paranormal phenomenons and strange unsolved events. Shane and Ryan are giving off that good cop/bad cop vibe as one is a believer of the paranormal whereas the other isn't convinced. Ryan and Shane work so well as a team and you tune in to watch the show just as much for the creepy reportage as you do for those two knuckleheads.

If you decide on watching one of the shows I mentioned (or you already have watched any), please let me know what you thought of it in the comments below. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
